**Attuning** is how the player transforms the crystal into a new Affinity.

  * The Attuner must be repaired through a special window, which shows up for each Attuner as a blown-up visualization, with each of their parts being repaired when the required materials are slotted in and confirmed, playing an animation like a white flash-sprite swap, shiny particles, sound effects, etc.
    * Either dotted lines to each item slot, or a series of slots and a repair button below on a blueprint-styled interface.
  * Attuning the crystal requires catalysts, which are ingredients or combinations of ingredients.
  * One catalyst is always a relic dropped by the previous region's boss.
  * Some, if not most catalysts are combinations of ingredients that must be prepared at specific NPCs. For example, most "natural" catalysts like salves, organic mixtures, powders, etc., are prepared by the Hermit, while alloys must be created by the Blacksmith.
  * Additionally, certain catalysts may require the player to upgrade the NPCs' stations in the village, in order for them to have the right equipment to make more complex materials.
  * Attuning gets more complicated over time.

      * Goblin Chief's Headdress (Dropped by the Boss)
      * 2 Ingredients Glimmering Carbonate, Stone and Quartz Powder (Ground up by the Hermit)
      * 2 Ingredients for Mortar, Sand (Gathered at the Beach) and Seashell Lime (Ground up by the Hermit)
      * 1 Ingredient for Gloom Shroom Paste (Ground up by the Hermit)

      * Boss Relic
